What an exchange sees when you make a deposit. Four things, and you can check three yourself

Many people think a check is "is the address blacklisted or not". If it were, there would be far fewer freezes. An exchange's compliance team looks at four things.

1. WHERE THE MONEY CAME FROM — SEVERAL HOPS BACK

Not just your address, but the chain: who sent to you, who sent to them. A sanctioned address or a mixer two or three hops back is already a question for you.

2. THE SHARE OF RISKY FUNDS

If 300 of the 10,000 USDT in your wallet came from a blacklisted address, they don't freeze 300 — they freeze the whole deposit. Until you explain.

3. WALLET AGE AND BEHAVIOUR

Created yesterday, received a large sum, forwarded all of it at once — that's pass-through. Such wallets are a standard link in laundering, and the algorithm knows it.

4. WHO YOU ARE ON PAPER

The only thing you can't check yourself: whether your profile matches the volumes. A student with a million in turnover raises questions even with clean addresses.

The first three are visible on-chain before the deposit. Check your address the way an exchange will see it: https://t.me/amlconsensus_bot?start=en
