Bybit published the counterparties it will block you for

Bybit released its Restricted Counterparty List — over 50 platforms and organisations you are not allowed to transact with through the exchange.

WHO IS ON IT

Exchangers and payment services: Garantex, Bitzlato, EXMO, Payeer, Nobitex, Bitpapa, Chatex, Cryptex, Grinex, Rapira, WhiteBird.

Mixers and darknet: Samourai Wallet, Bitcoin Fog, ChipMixer, Sinbad, Hydra Market.

Organisations: Lazarus Group, Hamas, Ansarallah, ISIS-K.

The basis is section 23 of the Platform Terms and section 28 of the BVAPO Terms, resting on the OFAC SDN list and the EU consolidated sanctions list.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE LINKED

A blocked transfer or blocked funds, account suspension and closure, a report to the regulator, forced liquidation of open positions.

TWO THINGS MOST SUMMARIES LEAVE OUT

First. Bybit writes "direct OR INDIRECT connection". Indirect means your counterparty's counterparty. You may have never touched a listed platform, and still receive money that came from one.

Second. Bybit states plainly that the list is not exhaustive, and that absence from it does not mean a counterparty is safe to work with. So checking against the list is not enough — you have to look at the address history itself.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Several of the named platforms are everyday tools for P2P trading in the region. People use them without treating it as a risk, right up until the money reaches an exchange.
