OFAC just listed another exchange. Your deposit screen still happens AFTER you send.

Sep 17: Treasury designated Iranian exchange BitBank, its developer Pishtaz Simorgh, and three associates in Babak Zanjani's network — under Operation Economic Outcast. Allegation: in June–July 2026 hundreds of millions in BTC moved through BitBank toward IRGC-linked rails.

Those coins do not stay on one labeled wallet — they hop. If that hop lands in an address that pays you, the CEX freezes the deposit and you write explanations. Screening the sender before the transfer is cheaper than a compliance ticket.
