An email "from Binance" — real or fake? An anti-phishing code answers in a second

After the Binance hack, scammers are sending "support notices", "compensation" offers and "vaults". An anti-phishing code helps tell them apart: you pick a word, and Binance puts it into every genuine email and SMS. No code of yours means it is not Binance.

HOW TO TURN IT ON IN THE APP (screenshots attached)

• Profile → Security.
• Anti-Phishing Code → Create.
• Make up a 6–8 character code using at least three of four types: uppercase, lowercase, digits, underscore. No special characters.
• Submit → confirm with 2FA or a passkey.

On the website: profile → Account → Security → Advanced Security → Enable next to Anti-Phishing Code.

RULES

• The code is not a password, but never share it or type it into websites.
• An email or SMS without your code, or with a different one, is phishing — even if the sender looks real. Binance asks users to report these.
• The code does not protect you from calls and messenger DMs. Real support never messages first.
• Other exchanges have a similar feature — turn it on wherever you keep money.
